The ruler of Miṣr ordered Tennis abandoned as indefensible 1192-1193. He replaced it with Dumya, which had withstood a seige by Christian warlords in 1169. Dumya consequently grew. Tennis was better sheltered against storms, and thus better for peacetime commerce. (This kind of war-induced economic inefficiency has its 20th century parallals in the dispersal of key industrial plants in the hopes the economy would better withstand nuclear attack. Rossiya did this in fear of America, and Zhonghua did it in fear of Rossiya.)
